Alabama Public Television’s (APT) licensee WLRH-FM in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a full-time Radio Program Producer. APT is the nation’s first public broadcasting network, nationally recognized and a leader in education, and WLRH-FM is Alabama’s first public radio station with deep ties to the cultural community of north Alabama and the Tennessee Valley.
Qualifications include high school graduation or GED and six (6) months experience of on-air experience in a commercial or non-commercial broadcasting operation. Responsibilities include serving as local host of either All Things Considered or Morning Edition, and other programs as needed, contributing content and sound to daily newscasts, such as stories, interviews and soundbites, and participating in fund-raising activities, including fund drives and station events.
