On Friday, December 7th, at 7:30 pm organist Jonathan Hehn will provide a solo recital on the Nativity pipe organ. Jonathan Hehn is a brother of the Order of Saint Luke and Organist of Trinity United Methodist Church in Tallahassee, FL. Mr. Hehn is currently pursuing the Doctor of Music degree at the Florida State University, where he is a teaching assistant in the Organ and Sacred Music departments. In 2007, he won the AGO Regional Competition for Young Organists (Region IV). Jonathan has been a finalist at the National Organ Playing Competition in Fort Wayne and the Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival in Wethersfield. His program at Nativity is an eclectic mix of works for Advent, from a Magnificat for voices and organ by German Renaissance composer Samuel Scheidt, to familiar works that will incorporate a multimedia backdrop.
