Experimental Airplane Association, Chapter 190 will hold its annual open house and fly-in on Saturday, September 20th at Moontown Airport. Located six miles east of Huntsville on HWY -72, this family friendly event will feature aviation exhibits and airplanes including warbirds, home built, kit build and many more. The Aviation Banquet begins at six-thirty and features former Astronaut Jim Halsell and the US Army AMC band. Open to all. Gates open at 7:30 am for food, and aviation fun.
The EAA 190 Young Eagles program will provide introductory flights for kids between 8 and 17.
Buckhorn High School Band Boosters will serve a breakfast ($6.50/adults, $4/children) of scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, gravy, biscuits, grits, coffee and juice from 7:30-10 AM.
Lunch, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase from food booths from 11 am until 4 pm by the Madison County High School Band Boosters. Both Band Booster programs use funds from the breakfast and lunch sales to offset cost of band instruments and uniforms.
