Béla Fleck is an American master of the banjo, widely recognized as one of the premier banjo players in the world. His banjo concerto, Impostor, however, is far from being just a folk song or bluegrass celebration; it’s an amazing piece of symphonic music that shows the range of this beautiful stringed instrument – and this 21st-century work is beautifully matched with two remarkable 20th-century compositions, one created around folk music from Hungary, and the other from Mexico.
