Madison City Farmers Market will once again return to the same location: the grass lot at 1282 Hughes Road next to Discovery Middle School in Madison, Alabama. The 2013 will start April 13 and run until November 23 with hours from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 13 to September 28, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. October 5 to November 23.
The Market is the area’s original local, producer-only farmers market. Everything at the market is grown or made by vendors within 100 miles of the market or less! Our vendors provide a wide selection of the freshest local veggies, fruits, cheese, eggs, meats, herbs, honey, jams, jellies, relishes, home-baked goods, plants and flowers.
Come see creations from local artisans including handmade cards, soaps, lotions, candles, wood crafts, sewn items and other handmade products.
The mission of the Madison City Farmers Market is to provide consumers with a choice of fresh, quality produce, food products, handcrafted items and other services; to provide an outlet for local farmers, producers and artisans to promote their products within the Madison community; and to provide an experience that encourages community spirit and keeps money and energy within the community.
The Market is now accepting volunteers for such tasks as set up, break down, manning the information booth, coordinating music, and coordinating food demonstrations. Please visit www.madisoncityfarmersmarket.com for more information. Like us on Facebook to keep up with all things Market.
