Brian Odom from Marshall Space Flight Center will explore the intersection of the civil rights movement and the Apollo program. You can join us Nov. 20 at 3 PM as we continue our state bicentennial celebration! In November, Brian Odom, historian at the Marshall Space Flight Center, will explore the intersection of the civil rights movement and the Apollo program in Huntsville—highlighting how civil rights leadership in the city interacted with the Apollo program, both locally and nationally, in utilized funding for the space program to end Jim Crow segregation.
