--=== National Plug in Day ===-- Sunday, September 29, 2013 10am - 6pm There are no admission or parking fees. 3615 S. Memorial Parkway. Huntsville, AL 35801 The Redstone Energy Group Solar Demonstration Park on the corner of Airport Road and Memorial Parkway. You can have your questions answered by owners and drivers of electric vehicles. Electric cars owned and driven daily by people in the Huntsville area will be on display and available for rides. There are four main areas of plug in vehicle activity: ● A display area with vehicles on static display so you can look under the hood and ask questions and get answers from the people that drive them every day ● An area for lining up test rides in personal electric vehicles and drives in dealer cars around the block using “take a number” so there’s no waiting in line ● A series of plug in vehicle videos playing all day on the big TV inside to enjoy along with refreshments ● The rest of the solar park demonstrating how to power your home or business and your car on free and clean solar power Prizes and Awards: ● Registered EVs are eligible for awards, in recognition of unique features or accomplishments such as most oil-free miles driven Speakers: ● Show of support for EVs from city officials with a proclamation signed by Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle ● A few words from our major sponsor ● EV owner stories of why they bought their electric vehicle and what it has been like driving it daily Event Registration: You can register your personal electric vehicle or to volunteerto help out during the event sign up here:http://pluginday.org/event.php?eventid=12.
