Finding a Balance- Industry and Environment in Huntsville

In HUNTSVILLE, construction is underway for a 1 point 6 billion-dollar auto manufacturing plant. In two years, when Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA INC. begins production, thousands of jobs there will have been filled. Near the plant site, one tiny species of fish lives in the wetlands in the area. Its habitat may be negatively impacted by construction and operations. WLRH’s Katy Ganaway reports…

 

*City officials broke ground at the Mazda Toyota plant November 16th. Production is expected to begin between late 20-20 and early 20-21.
