Reach Our Audience with your PSA (Public Service Announcement)

The Tennessee Valley is indeed a jewel for the performing arts. Its actors, musicians, and other artists receive support from WLRH.  For over three decades WLRH has supported the Valley’s arts events.  We now support community events of almost every description. If you need announcements aired on a particular date or time please visit our support section.

WLRH supports art and community events with 30 and 60 second recorded PSAs.  They have always been free to the community but they must follow Federal Government rules.

Government regulations are more strict for Public Broadcasters than they are for the general media.  Our station manager Cheryl Carlson has condensed an array of Federal regulations to a document  for your review.  Unless all of the regulations are followed we cannot and will not air your announcement.

Please practice the announcement for a comfortable conversational delivery and correct time.  You, or the reader you send to our station, can make your recorded part of the announcement 28 and/or 58 seconds long. 

When you are ready to record the PSA you may reach me at bwells@wlrh.org or 895-9574 ext.116, or submit your PSA online.  I will schedule studio time and record your announcement. 

Suggestions for its background music are always appreciated.  Announcements are to be recorded and produced three or more weeks before your event.
