I am a Huntsville native with a BA in English from UAH and a Master’s Degree in Communications from Georgia State University. As a graduate student I interned at WABE, Atlanta’s public radio station, and was offered a part-time job upon graduation. For the next twelve years, I served as a part-time classical music announcer and news anchor for WABE.
After living for fifteen years in Atlanta, my husband Scott (whom I met at a WABE fund drive,) son, pets and I moved to Huntsville. I love working at WLRH because every day is different and there’s always something new to learn – either from an NPR correspondent or a local member of the arts community. It’s a privilege to be a part of the WLRH team.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy reading, cooking, chasing squirrels in my backyard with my hounds Frank and Rufus and riding my horse, Art.
