Alzheimer’s A-Z! is a one day community outreach event that will take place at UAH University Center in Huntsville on May 5, 2012, with a focus on four primary areas: Prevention, Diagnosis, Support & Management, and Research. Hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00p.m. with lunch being provided for attendees. The event will be promoted as an interactive brain healthy living experience with exhibitors, guest speakers, workshops, entertainment, a Youth Zone, Respite Room, and screenings. Special activities/speakers will be targeted for the African American and Hispanic/Latino populations, as well as other break out workshops on various topics related to Alzheimer’s disease.
This day will offer attendees everything they need to know about Alzheimer’s disease under one roof.

Interesting and relevant speakers on Alzheimer’s related topics
CEUs
Community support services
Alzheimer’s research updates
Health screenings: Blood pressure, BMI, cholesterol, Diabetes, memory screenings
Games and entertainment
Youth Zone
Respite Room
Alzheimer’s A-Z! is for families who have a loved one with Alzheimer’s, a family history of Alzheimer’s or anyone interested in brain health. It will be a free event and promoted through local media, companies, churches, senior facilities, schools, and the Alzheimer’s Association database for Northeast Alabama.
