The Huntsville-Madison County Branch of the NAACP will serve as host of the 60th Alabama State Convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) that will be held at the Marriott Huntsville on October 18-21. The theme this year is “2012, No Vote, No Voice.” The State Convention will also include various activities, as well as workshops from health to Alabama’s new photo voter ID law. In addition, Program Analyst Eddi Abdulhaqq, United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in Birmingham will be available to take EEOC complaints on Saturday.
