On Saturday, April 13th Huntsville will play host to the premier Yuriâs Night Event at the Davidson Center for Space Exploration. The event will be 1 of more than 1,000 officially registered parties, in over 100 countries on all 7 continents. Yuriâs Night will celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the first manned space flight while also educating the local community about the importance of space exploration. All proceeds raised will benefit C.A.J.A. Friends, a local program dedicated to helping abused and neglected children in Madison County.
Huntsville, AL 2013âOn Saturday, April 13th Huntsville will host the premier event of what has become a worldwide celebration of space exploration. This event will be unlike anything that Huntsville has ever seen. It will reinforce the importance of space exploration and reveal its cumulative effect on our local economy, all while raising awareness for a great cause that helps local children.
From 6:00pm until 2:00 am in the Saturn Hall of the Davidson Center, the crowds will gather to join in this unique costumed celebration. Americaâs Party Pros Disc Jockey service will be providing additional entertainment throughout the night as well. There will be a costume contest and prizes for the best "Space" costume. Ticket and party infomation and rocketcenter.com. No family will have to purchase more than 4 tickets, no matter their size. And children 12 and under are FREE.
From 6pm-8pm it is family focused and children 12 and under - no admission.
