Today (10-4) is the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi. St Francis is the patron saint of animals and many churches offer animal blessing services around this time. One local minister, Rev. Brad Hall, decided to take the blessings on the road to visit farms, petting zoos and assisted living facilities. Pet Blessing, a part of the Huntsville Association of Pastoral Care, is a year-round service for people and the pets they love. More information is on the Pet Blessing Facebook page or you can contact Chaplain Hall at chaplain@petblessing.org.
