Master Gardeners Fall Series: Creating a Beautiful Pollinator-Friendly Cottage Garden
Master Gardeners Fall Series: Creating a Beautiful Pollinator-Friendly Cottage Garden
Cottage gardening is perfect for anyone who loves flowers, butterflies, bees and birds. This garden style can be done in large or small spaces including containers. You don't need to follow rigid design rules in cottage gardening. All the plants featured in the program are disease and pest resistant, hardy, and most have a long bloom season. Beautiful old garden roses including climbing roses, old-fashioned pass-along plants, and other plants recommended by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System that are the best for our area will covered. A handout with a plant list and description will be provided to attendees. Karen Kirk-Williams is an Alabama Master Gardener and Florida Master Gardener. She loves gardening and has not used insecticides, pesticides and other systemics on any of her plants in thirty years.
