RADIO STATION PROGRAM DIRECTOR (FULL-TIME #30670)

Alabama Public Television is seeking a full-time Radio Station Program Director for our public radio station, WLRH 89.3 FM/HD in Huntsville, AL. The Program Director will work collaboratively with the Director of Radio and other staff to create content and foster relationships that support WLRH’s mission to inform, inspire and connect the Tennessee Valley. Qualified candidates need an intimate knowledge of WLRH programming, and a general knowledge of WLRH’s service area of Madison, Morgan, Limestone and Marshall counties in north Alabama. Candidates must be able to work alone and within teams, have good organizational & communication skills (oral & written), strong computer skills, and experience with social media. Experience with RCS Zetta, Adobe Audition and Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, Composer and Grove is preferred, but not required. We will train you to do everything.

Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Communications, History, Economics, Arts & Sciences or a related field
-Two years of experience as a supervisor of programming and/or operations personnel at a commercial or non-commercial media outlet, including radio TV online and print
