Triana Public Library Rises From the Ashes

Workers Plant Sign for new Triana Public Library

Officials in Triana break ground today (6/14/13) on the city's new public library. The former home of the library was destroyed in 2009 by fire. The new library will provide many residents with their only Internet access, and other resources. Brett Tannehill reports.

Brett is a 25-year veteran of public television and radio. He's won more than 30 journalism awards, including a national Edward R. Murrow award and RTDNA's international UNITY award for excellence in coverage of diversity issues. He was also lucky enough to spend several years recording commentaries from legendary storyteller Kathryn Tucker Windham, which stands as one of his all-time favorite things about working in broadcasting.
