RADIO FINE ARTS SPECIALIST (FULL-TIME)
Want to put your skills to use making a difference in your community and work in a stimulating, creative environment? Alabama Public Television is seeking a full-time Radio Fine Arts Specialist for our public radio station, WLRH 89.3 FM/HD in Huntsville, AL. The Radio Fine Arts Specialist will work collaboratively with the Director of Radio and program managers to create on-air and digital content that supports WLRH’s service mission to inform, inspire and connect the Tennessee Valley. Qualified candidates need an intimate knowledge of WLRH programming, and a general knowledge of listeners in WLRH’s service area of Madison, Morgan, Limestone and Marshall counties. Candidates must be able to work alone and within teams, have good organizational & communication skills (oral & written), strong computer skills, and experience with social media. Experience with OpX, Adobe Audition and Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva is preferred, but not required. Minimum Requirements: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Music, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or Theater Arts and *two (2) years of experience as a fine arts radio program producer.
*Previous job title as a fine arts radio program producer not required; experience and job duties are what will be considered.
