Before joining the WLRH staff, Dorrie spent many, MANY years as a classical musician, playing the French Horn in any ensemble that would let her in the door! She recently retired from the Huntsville Symphony following a 37 year career, and played in groups as diverse as Woodwind Quintets and Brass Bands. From churches to schools to Broadway shows, she’s joined in any kind of music that a French Horn could play. Dorrie has also taught at UAH, Alabama A&M, Oakwood University and at her home studio—everyone from 5th graders to grown-ups.
