Tom Froehlich is a relative newcomer to Huntsville, having moved here in October of 2019 after spending 42 years in Dallas. During his time in Dallas he served as the Assoc Director of Music and Organist at the First Presbyterian Church and also served on the board of WRR, the city-owned classical music station. In addition to many solo appearances in the US and in Europe, he also has played numerous concertos with the Dallas Chamber Orchestra and the Dallas Bach Society. His last “gig” before retirement was playing a recital for the Organ Historical Society’s national convention in Dallas in the summer of ’19, The Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas is iconic among musicians and Tom has also performed there many times, both with choirs and as a soloist. His most recent Meyerson appearance was the nationally televised service, with Presidents Bush and Obama and both Texas Senators present, for the memorial service commemorating the Dallas Police Officers assassinated during a 2016 protest.
