On March 5 from 1 - 2:30 PM and on March 12 from 1 - 2:30 PM, join us for a live Sundial event in conjunction with Learning QUEST. Each gathering, featuring different writers, will be happening in the auditorium of the Downtown Huntsville-Madison County Library. You will hear about the writers' biographies, their literary creations, and their various inspirations to submit to the Sundial Writers Corner. The session will conclude with a Q&A with the audience. March 5th will feature: Patricia Sammon, Beth Thames, Lynne Berry Vallely, Margaret Vann, Joyce Billingsley and Bonnie Roberts. March 12th will feature: Jane Patten, Neal Wooten, Randy Grider and Donna Giese.
On Sunday, March 10 from 11 AM - 3 PM make your way to the southern end of Orion's Apollo Park for a free family-friendly event dedicated to the magic of reading. Join us in celebrating National Reading Month at the Rocket City Reading Festival, at the Orion Amphitheater in partnership with Huntsville-Madison County Public Library!
Stories are waiting to be discovered at this festival, from local authors showcasing their incredible work at the Authors’ Village in the Apollo South Dome, to the beloved HMCPL book-mobile. Can’t wait to dig into your latest literary finds? Visit the Artist Meadow, where Huntsville and Madison’s Silent Book Clubs will be holding a meet-up. Guests are welcome to bring picnic blankets and chairs to comfortably read while catching some rays!
