UAH's professional summer Shakespeare company, Huntsville Shakespeare is back for its 8th season, at the Huntsville Botanical Garden July 25 through August 9 for performances of Macbeth, a tragedy about the corruption of power, and The Comedy of Errors, a comedy about a set of identical twins separated at birth. Experience Shakespeare in an outdoor setting at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. UAH’s Huntsville Shakes presents Macbeth and The Comedy of Errors across three weekends: July 25 and 26, August 1 and 2, and August 8 and 9. Dr. Warnher von Braun called science and religion "Sisters." But he admitted they sometimes have had an awkward relationship. On Sundays, August 3rd, 10th, and 17th, at 5:00 pm, in the Life Center of the First Baptist Church of Huntsville, Drs. Mark Whorton, Nobie Stone and John Christy will be talking about the complementary relationship of science and faith. Everyone is invited.

English as a second language classes will begin August 6 at Weatherly Heights Baptist Church. Classes are every Wednesday morning from 930 to noon. Instruction includes grammar and conversation for all levels as well as preparation for taking the US citizenship test. Childcare for preschoolers and some transportation is provided. The public is invited to a 6-week wellness program for cancer patients and their families on Thursday evenings from August 7 to September 11. Weekly sessions include topics like art therapy, nutrition, mental health, yoga, exercise, and side effect management. Led by local specialists, the program offers support for physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing during treatment and recovery. Hosted by the YMCA, Clearview Cancer Institute, and Russell Hill Cancer Foundation.
The Greene Street Market at Nativity opens for its 15th season beginning May 1. It will take place every Thursday afternoon starting at 3 pm through the end of October. You're invited to meet the farmers who grow your food, listen to live music, and pick out a dinner to take home! Biergarten is back at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center! Each Thursday from 5 to 7:30 p.m., the Rocket Center is serving authentic German food and beverages under the Saturn V Moon Rocket in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration. OLLI at UAH will hold its fall open house on Friday, August 8th from 10 am to noon in Wilson Hall on the UAH campus. Everyone is invited to preview over 70 in-person and online courses, meet our instructors and staff, and learn about all OLLI has to offer. OLLI is open to all adults 50 and over. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will feature its fall lineup of more than 70 classes during open house Friday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon in Wilson Hall at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Everyone is invited.
OLLI offers classes on campus and online, as well as bonus lectures, member interest groups, social activities and travel, for adults 50 and older. There is no mandatory homework, no grades, no tests. A year's membership costs $40, and most classes cost $40 each and run for four to six weekly sessions.
