The Downtown Rescue Mission will host its annual Independence Picnic on Thursday, July 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its campus in Huntsville. Each Thursday from 5 to 7:30 p.m., the Rocket Center is serving authentic German food and beverages under the Saturn V Moon Rocket in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration. Rainbow Trouble presents Alabama's Fourth Annual Trans Pride at the Jaycee's Building in Huntsville on July 6, with support from Shenanigans Comedy Theater. Community Awareness for Youth (CAFY) will host its annual event for students ages 12 to 18, along with their families and friends on Saturday, July 12th from 9am to noon. The event features backpacks, school supplies, food, music, entertainment, bounce houses, and more. Local organizations will be on hand to provide information and resources for youth services and mentorship. CAFY highlights four areas of focus: health, education, careers, and finances. Madison Visionary Partners and Main Street Madison present Third Thursdays in Downtown Madison.
