Decatur’s Princess Theatre began as a livery stable in 1887 and is now a vibrant hub for performing artists. The new book The Princess Theatre, A Grand Old Dame, tells its history through stories and photographs. A book launch event is set for Friday, May 3rd featuring Sean Dietrich a/k/a Sean of the South. The book’s author, Melissa Ford Thornton, and contributing writer, author Peggy Allen Towns, joined Ginny Kennedy to share some of the fascinating tales behind this historic landmark.
