30th Annual Huntsville Turkey Trot

Crisis Services of North Alabama CSNA Turkey Trot

30th Annual Huntsville Turkey Trot

Turkey Trot Turns Thirty in Twenty-Twenty-Three!

For three decades, CSNA has been organizing the Crisis Services of North Alabama's Turkey Trot 5k– a Thanksgiving Day tradition that brings families, friends, runners, and walkers of all ages together. This year, as we mark the big 3-0, we're inviting you to be a part of the fun and help us raise funds so we can continue to offer vital services for the communities we serve (more about our nonprofit below).

RUNNERS & WALKERS
Register by 11:59 pm CST on October 30 for a free race tee! If you're rolling with a stroller, that's fine too – just remember to leave your furry pals at home so we can keep the course clear and smooth.

Thanksgiving themed costumes are welcome! Come as a turkey, a pumpkin pie, an ear of corn, or any favorite Thanksgiving icon of your choice. Not mandatory, but super fun!

Tiny Tot Turkey Trot
Got kids aged 5 and below? They're in for a treat with the 100-yard "Tiny Tot Turkey Trot" dash at 9:00 am. Watch as they take on our hilariously huge turkey mascot. No need to sign up in advance – just show up and have a blast. (Did we mention it’s free?)

Door Prizes
The fun isn't over at the finish line. Stick around after the race for a chance at some cool door prizes before the awards are handed out.

The race will only be called off if weather conditions jeopardize the safety of all participants. In the event of cancellation, there will be no rescheduling or refunds and we sincerely appreciate your kind contribution.

Packet & Tee Pickup
Packet and shirt pickup will be 10:00 am - 6:00 pm at the following locations:

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Tiny Tot Turkey Trot cost anything?
Nope! No cash, no credit card, just lots of fun. (Please note: the Tiny Tot race is only for kids aged 5 and under.)

Where is the starting line for The Tiny Tot Turkey Trot? The Tiny Tots will start at the top of the Spragins Hall parking lot. The Tiny Tots will run toward the race finish line. Look for Tiny Turkey (our terrific turkey mascot).

Where will the award ceremony be held?
That’s easy! Where you finished with your PR!

I’d like to participate. Can I just walk?
Absolutely! We always have people who want to walk the 5k, so you will not be alone!

I‘m part of a group that’s running together. Where and when do we pick up our packets?
The packet pickup dates above are for both individuals and groups however the packets are under individual names and not group names. Simply pick whichever time and location is most convenient and you’ll be ready to trot on Thanksgiving!

Will you have t-shirts available in youth sizes?
We’re sorry, but we won't have any t-shirts smaller than an adult small.

Will our family—one jogging and one pushing our child in a wheelchair—all start at 8:00 am?
You’ll all start at 8:00 am and we will absolutely love seeing you jog, walk, and roll your way to the finish line! However, to keep things safe for everyone, we ask that anyone not running start behind those who are.

Can I push my child in a stroller in the Tiny Tot Turkey Trot so they can participate?
While we’d love for all Tiny Tots to try and outrun Tina Turkey, strollers pushed by an adult gives the rider an unfair advantage! You may, however, push your Tiny Tot and stroller in The Trot.

Can I pick up my race packet the morning of the race?Yes, we'll have a race morning packet pickup at Spragins Hall. Just make sure you get there early because we’ll close 10 minutes before the race with no exceptions.

Where do I park?
We’ve linked a handy-dandy PDF of the parking map above (and here it is again) with plenty of designated parking spots. HOWEVER, if you need to leave before the festivities come to a close, we don’t recommend parking at Spragins Hall. It'll be blocked off and you’ll be stuck!

May I run with my dog?
As much as we love fur babies, we don’t allow dogs on the course. Of course, all well-behaved and leashed pups are welcome to hang out and cheer you on from the sidelines!.

May I run with a stroller?
Absolutely! Strollers are more than welcome to join the race, but to keep things smooth and safe for everyone, we ask stroller-pushing participants to start at the back of the line. It's like a stroller parade!
