SPARKLE Studio will close for 2 hours every Wednesday for a FREE community gathering focused on witchy friendship, sharing, and networking. We now meet in Studio 1047, UAH Project Space, on the first floor of the north building; park by Door 2. Arrive any time between 4 and 7, and feel free to bring adult beverages or snacks to share. The meeting ends at 7 when Lowe Mill closes to the public. What we do is up to you—share skills, craft, relax, or suggest new ideas. Bring a loving spirit, as our space is all-inclusive and welcoming to everyone.

The Greene Street Market at Nativity opens for its 15th season beginning May 1. It will take place every Thursday afternoon starting at 3 pm through the end of October. You're invited to meet the farmers who grow your food, listen to live music, and pick out a dinner to take home! Biergarten is back at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center! Each Thursday from 5 to 7:30 p.m., the Rocket Center is serving authentic German food and beverages under the Saturn V Moon Rocket in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration. The public is invited to a 6-week wellness program for cancer patients and their families on Thursday evenings from August 7 to September 11. Weekly sessions include topics like art therapy, nutrition, mental health, yoga, exercise, and side effect management. Led by local specialists, the program offers support for physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing during treatment and recovery. Hosted by the YMCA, Clearview Cancer Institute, and Russell Hill Cancer Foundation.

The League of Women Voters of the Tennessee Valley and the Alabama Disability Advocacy Program will host a Disability Voting Rights Week (DVRW) event on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12–4 p.m. at Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment (2211 Seminole Dr. SW, Huntsville, AL 35805), in the First Floor Connector Space.
Community partners include RevUp Alabama, Huntsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama, Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind (AIDB), National Federation of the Blind of Alabama, New Disabled South, Lift Our Vote, ACLU Alabama, and others.
The Greater Huntsville Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present an informal lecture recital exploring the pipe organ, piano, and harpsichord. Asbury Church and Trinity Baptist Church in Madison, AL are excited to announce their collaborative work featuring two special evenings of music designed to draw listeners closer to the heart of God. The “Music for Sacred Spaces” concert will feature uplifting songs led by both church choirs and the Asbury Orchestra, with song selections of soulful reflection and joyful celebration. The Downtown Rescue Mission is excited to mark 50 years of service to our community with an Anniversary Celebration featuring five-time GRAMMY nominee, Matthew West. We invite you join us to celebrate this milestone on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Von Braun Center.
Since 1975, the Mission has served as a place of hope for the homeless, offering meals, shelter, life transformation programs and more. It’s a place where broken stories are met with compassion and transformed by hope. Our anniversary celebration will honor this legacy.

English as a second language classes will begin August 6 at Weatherly Heights Baptist Church. Classes are every Wednesday morning from 930 to noon. Instruction includes grammar and conversation for all levels as well as preparation for taking the US citizenship test. Childcare for preschoolers and some transportation is provided.
