Decatur, AL –January 18, 2023 – The Carnegie Visual Arts Center presents the exhibit, The Ercegovic-Pope Colleciton: Around the World in 60 Days, January 24-March 4, 2023.

About the exhibit
Whether amassed from around the block or around the planet, art hobbyists and professionals often feel a deep connection to their art collections. Marsha Ercegovic and Gary Pope have the perfect artwork for this season. They lived in New Orleans and celebrated Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest by buying artwork. The spirit of the big Easy especially shows through in the prints of George Rodrigue.
Marsha worked for Rodrique, creator of the Blue Dog, for many years at his gallery on Royal Street.

Exhibit Opening Reception will be held on January 27th from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Members admission is free and guests will pay $5 at the door. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be served.

Special Exhibit Event-
Gallery Walk with the Collector, Marsha Ercegovic-February 7th at noon.
Join us in the Gallery as Marsha shares the history and stories behind the art and the artists in her collection of artwork acquired while living in New Orleans for over 20 years.
