The Valley Conservatory Early Music Festival Concert is scheduled for Sunday, September 28th at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 1088 Hughes Road in Madison. The program includes performances by VCEM Festival Artists, the Madison Early Music Project, and the Valley Conservatory Baroque Orchestra, featuring works by Telemann, Scarlatti, and Johnson. The Huntsville Concert Band presents music from England, including works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gordon Jacob, Edward Elgar, and Kenneth J. Alford; selections from the film Pride & Prejudice in celebration of the Jane Austen semiquincentennial; and many familiar tunes by Lennon & McCartney and Broadway's Bricusse & Newley. Guest soloist Jonathan Warburton will be featured in the US premiere of Concerto for Bass Trombone & Band by Ian L. Mitchell. John Hightower of WLRH's Brass, Reeds, and Percussion will serve as narrator and master of ceremonies. The concert begins at 7 PM on Tuesday, September 30 in the Columbia High School auditorium. The 58th annual Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention is October 1st–4th at Athens State University. There will be performances by Joe Mullins and The Radio Ramblers, Pitney Meyer, Jimmy Fortune, and Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. This family friendly event also features arts and crafts and food. English as a second language classes will begin August 6 at Weatherly Heights Baptist Church. Classes are every Wednesday morning from 930 to noon. Instruction includes grammar and conversation for all levels as well as preparation for taking the US citizenship test. Childcare for preschoolers and some transportation is provided. SPARKLE Studio will close for 2 hours every Wednesday for a FREE community gathering focused on witchy friendship, sharing, and networking. We now meet in Studio 1047, UAH Project Space, on the first floor of the north building; park by Door 2. Arrive any time between 4 and 7, and feel free to bring adult beverages or snacks to share. The meeting ends at 7 when Lowe Mill closes to the public. What we do is up to you—share skills, craft, relax, or suggest new ideas. Bring a loving spirit, as our space is all-inclusive and welcoming to everyone.

The Greene Street Market at Nativity opens for its 15th season beginning May 1. It will take place every Thursday afternoon starting at 3 pm through the end of October. “This Changed Everything” is a live storytelling event at Shenanigan Comedy Theater on October 2, featuring seven storytellers and two spoken word performances. You'll hear reflections on moments of transformation—from finding purpose to losing a friend—including one from a survivor who found support through Crisis Services of North Alabama. "Brass Band and Organ will Roar in the Rocket City”The Brass Band of Huntsville presents “Glorious Brass and Organ”, featuring internationally recognized and award-winning career pianist, organist, and recording artist, Christopher-Joel Carter, in the Camille Saint-Seans Finale from Saint-Seans, Symphony Number 3 in the Sanctuary of Trinity United Methodist Church on Airport Road, Huntsville, Alabama, Thursday, October 02, 2025 at 7:00 pm.
The concert is free and open to the public and will feature a musical offering unique to Huntsville and all of Alabama, with the sound of a British-style brass band woven into the fabric of a classical organ masterwork, and performed with a master soloist in a spectacular music venue, will create a musical experience that is sure-to-satisfy.

Decatur Orchestra Sul Ponticello opens it's 25-26 season with Northern Lights and Notations, a concert highlighting Canadian compostions. It features Kaljo Raid's Sonata for Flute and Oboe and Gary Kulesha's Serenade for Strings. This evening of classical music takes place at Southside Baptist Church on October 4th at 7pm. Tour de Ville 2025 is a community bike ride through historic downtown Huntsville, taking place on Saturday, October 4. Riders can choose from multiple routes with scenic stops, followed by a gathering at Straight to Ale. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama.
