Stomp Out HIV

Stomp Out HIV

Thrive Alabama will host the third annual Stomp Out HIV community festival on Saturday, June 24th, from Noon to 5 pm in Huntsville’s Big Spring Park West.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be food trucks, live music, drumline performances, dance groups, face painting, and other fun activities. In addition, a community resource fair will bring together more than 60 groups and organizations to connect with the public. The main stage features local performers including Ally Free, Dani Sings, and the Love Apples, and a Step Dance Exhibition featuring members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council of North Alabama (NPHCNA).

Stomp Out HIV is held every year to acknowledge and promote National HIV Testing Day. Thrive Alabama encourages everyone to get tested for HIV, know their status, and get linked to care and treatment if needed. Thrive Alabama will offer free rapid HIV testing in the ThriveMobile, our 33 ft. mobile health unit, and access to free HIV self-tests throughout the event.

Stomp Out HIV is a safe space event. All are welcome to attend.

Thrive Alabama is hosting this event with the support of The City of Huntsville Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Recovery Organization of Support Specialists, Trans Family Support Services, Crisis Services of North Alabama, North Alabama Area Health Education Center, Rocket City Pride, The Care Center, and the Behavioral Health Group, who make up the Stomp Out HIV Advisory Council.
